In a move that will please the organizers of the DLF Indian Premier League, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to postpone the World Twenty20 championship in the West Indies by a week.

T20 World Cup will now be held from April 30 to May 16 next year as against the original dates of April 23 to May 9, according to a report published in leading English daily.

The postponement has helped the Indian Premier League (IPL) considerably. The IPL is scheduled to be held from March 18 to April 23. (more…)
