The ODI series would be followed by a three-Test rubber in Jamaica (June 20-June 24), Barbados (June 28-Jul 2) and Dominica (July 6-July 10).

With the nine players missing out from the world cup squad for the west indies tour with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra and Gautam Gambhir. While, Sreesanth and Piyush Chawla have been dropped from the squad for the west Indies tour. It would be great chance for youngsters to prove themselves in Caribbean pitches.

Both the team coach and team Captain has been changed for the tour of West Indies. After the Gary Kristen has been resigned after clinching a memorable world cup victory to India, Duncan Fletcher was appointed as the new coach, who has previously coached South Africa in the world cup in 2011.

Suresh Raina will be leading the team, as a captain for the West Indies tour, while the Harbhajan Singh will be assisting him, as a vice-captain for the one day team.

Mahendra Dhoni and Zaheer Khan will join the team for the Test matches along with V.V.S. Laxman, Murali Vijay, Abhinav Mukund, Rahul Dravid, and Sreesanth.
