Chris Gayle most dominant batsmen in the cricket in shorter format of game have been retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the next two IPL seasons and the RCB has confirmed the news on Friday.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has signed their batsmen Chris Gayle, who played last year as replacement of Drik Nanes, after remaining unsold in the initial auction. Gayle was in prime form in the IPL last year, and also played a crucial role in Royal Challengers’ journey to the final. He scored two centuries, three half-centuries, picked up eight wickets. He ended as the recipient of the Orange Cap for being the highest scorer in IPL 2011, Gayle even represents RCB in the Champions League.

In a statement Sidhartha Mallya, Director, Royal Challengers Sports Pvt Ltd said that they were delighted to make Chris Gayle a permanent member of our IPL squad. The franchise is so confident that with players like him in their side, will take the extra step this season, and win our maiden IPL title. Chris Gayle stated that, to him Bangalore is like home away from home. He wanted to continue playing for them, and it turned out that they were keen to retain his services. Gayle finally added that he is looking forward to returning to Bangalore soon.

The IPL trading will be close on Friday, January 20, and the Royal Challengers had an option either to retain Gayle or leave him for open auction on February 4. The Mumbai Indians, a richer franchise than the Royal Challengers, were also keen to sign Gayle but RCB made use of their first rights to his services. Earlier, Mumbai brought KXIP keeper Dinesh Karthik for $2.35 million.

Gayle has also lashed out at the WICB for the ‘mind games’ they are playing with him. He believes that his national cricket authorities seem to be least interested in mending ties with him.

The legendary batsman is of the view that his loyalty is being questioned despite him playing his heart out for the Caribbean side.

Gayle while speaking with sources has said that, he has worked hard, shed Blood, tears for West Indies Cricket team and sated that, it’s miserable that some would question my commitment to West Indies cricket is in the is in their West Indies Cricket Board hands.

On the issue of WICB’s continuous insistence that Gayle needs to apologies to the board’s high-ups for his uncanny remarks against them, the batsman told in anger that, he thinks, the WICB are playing mind games with me.

Gayle, who is currently leading his home side, Jamaica, in the ongoing domestic tournament, Regional Super50 Series, avows that the board is lingering on the issue for unnecessarily.

However, the former captain has finally got a chance to be included in the West Indies squad.

(WICB) West Indies Cricket Board said that Gayle should withdraw his criticism against the Board, which he stated earlier this year in order for him to be chosen in the national team.
The WICB director, Clive Lloyd also comprehended that the conflict has now been dragged on for long, and it is about time that it should be put to an end on a positive note.

WI world cup winning captain also stated that, first of all it is disappointing that the matter has gone on for as long as it has in the board statement and now what we need now is closure and, to be fair, anyone of whom those comments were made would have a right to take umbrage.

Lloyd has reported that, withdrawing the comments would be the intelligent things to do to get the issue resolved and have everyone move on. We need senior players to be in the setup to drive the progress forward and any team would love to entertain Gayle, but under the right circumstances.

So the question is, will Chris Gayle should withdraw his criticism against the WICB?

Stay tuned in order to get all the info about Powerful hitting men, Gyale.

Chris Gayle remained an outsider while Vice-captain Brendan Nash was fallen from the West Indies squad for the second cricket Test over India starting on Tuesday at the Kensington Oval.

Barbados batsman Edwards’ addition is the only change effected by West Indies selectors in the side, which lost the first Test at Sabina Park by sixty-three runs on Thursday.

Brendan Nash made one and nine runs from the two innings of this match.

Meanwhile, West Indies Cricket Board officials and the Gayle, along with the West Indian Player Association members scheduled a meeting here last night.

The West Indies squad was represented by manager Ritchie Richardson and the Coach Ottis Gibson.

After the meeting, the two teams went their way and there appeared no sign of rapprochement and Gayle sustained to be ignored for criticizing the WICB some weeks back.

Notably, WIPA chief Dinananath Ramnarine was clear by his absence. WICB has already confirmed they would not have anything to do with him as they claimed he “used offensive language and was threatening” to WICB CEO Ernest Hilaire in an previous meeting.

West Indies Squad: Darren Sammy (Caption), Adrian Barath, Lendl Simmons, Darren Bravo, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Ravi Rampaul, Devendra Bishoo, Kemar Roach, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Carlton Baugh (WK), Fidel Edwards, Kirk Edwards.

However, the world cup winning team has lost their fourth one day against West Indies and will be playing the finals one day on Thursday and clinch the 5-match series with 4-1.

India will be taking on West Indies on Thursday, 16th June, 2011 in the fourth one day international match which is being held in Kingston, West Indies. The win has given the hosts the much needed confidence and now they are looking to end the series with heads held high and carry the momentum in the Test series.

While the West Indies team, after going 0-3 down in the five-ODI contest have won their last match and is now having a opportunity to secure a 2-3 result.
The most dangerous batsmen in this year IPL, Chris Gayle is person Kingston and most of the Caribbean want to see will not play at Sabina Park. However, the West Indies cricket board have ignored for the selection for the finals one day.

Chennai Super Kings Coach Stephen Fleming has quoted that Chris Gayle comeback into RCB team has made huge impact and change, Bangalore team is fortunate to have Gayle in their line-up. Gayle smashed 75 of 50 balls in yesterdays qualifying match against Chennai Super Kings.

Chennai only managed to score only 128 runs in their 20 overs Dhoni was the only one batsman who stood against the odds and scored 70 runs, but RCB reached that target without any real efforts as Gayle shined in their win. Fleming said that any team playing against Bangalore there first aim will be to dislodge Gayle upfront.

Chris Gayle representing RCB for the first time in IPL 4 there will be no doubts in saying Gayle is responsible for their wins. Gayle played 9 matches and he is the leading run scorer who held orange cap with 511 runs. He hit most number of sixes in the tournament i.e., 38 with two centuries and two half centuries. RCB has won eight games that he played and lost only one game.

The West Indies hard hitting batsman has a very huge impact with his ferocious hitting. Fleming added that RCB is lucky to have Gayle instead of replacement for Dirk Nannes. Bangalore captain Vettori stated that RCB have been heavily dependent on Gayle.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will face same opposition in the first playoff on Tuesday at Wankhede Stadium.

Chris Gayle’s claim has been dismissed by the West Indies Cricket Board, which claims that he was dropped without being told, insisting that it was the flamboyant batsman, who made himself unavailable for selection before heading off to the lucrative Indian Premier League.

Ernest Hilaire, chief of West Indies Cricket Board states that the Board did all it could to contact Chris Gayle, who suffered an abdominal strain during the World Cup. Gayle was not selected for the ongoing series against Pakistan, and the batsman went on to state that his Team left him with no options, but to join Indian Premier League by not reaching out to him.

Yet, the West Indies Cricket Board disagrees with his claims.

Ernest Hilaire told Line & Length Network, that we can dispel all that Gayle said by releasing the letters and emails. But we should not do that. You communicate with a player, you ask for his opinions, you ask for him to account certain statements; which he made, you ask him what Chris position on certain things is, and you anticipate to be treated with a certain degree of confidence.

Added he states that he is not going to try to prove Chris Gayle as wrong. More importantly, we are very disappointed the way Chris has decided to respond and says that WICB had no complaints against the player, which was proved by the No Objection Certificate, which has been handed for the IPL despite making himself unavailable for the series.

Hilaire also reports, that it did not exactly work out with Chris but when the point came and when Chris said he was not available for selections, we did give him the NOC because it is not about revenge and denying the opportunity.

Hilaire also says that before he flew out for the Indian Premier League, the West Indies Cricket Board thought that Chris Gayle was getting better from injury and once he is back and if he is doing well then we will surely pick him to play for the West Indies team.
