India Win Series as Rain Stops the Fourth ODI

West Indies were 27 for one after 7.3 overs against India when torrential rain stopped play in the fourth and final one-day international here on Sunday.

West Indies skipper Chris Gayle was the only wicket to fall without scoring, caught behind by Mahendra Singh Dhoni off Ishant Sharma in the second ball of the innings.

Runako Morton (12) and Ramnaresh Sarwan (12) were at the crease when rain interrrupted play.

Earlier, India captain MS Dhoni won the toss and put West Indies in to bat at the Beausejour Stadium.

India, who won the rain-hit third ODI at the same venue by six wickets on Friday, retained the same eleven.

India are eyeing a fifth straight one-day international series win after victories over New Zealand, Sri Lanka, England and Sri Lanka again, before taking a deserving break before the Champions Trophy in South Africa.
