Indian senior batsman Sachin Tendulkar is likely to be rested for the third ODI tri series match against Australia, schedule to play on Sunday 12th February at Adelaide Oval.
38-year-old Sachin Tendulkar, who has been playing from past 22-years in International cricket, India has won only five matches against hosts in Australia. Indian Masters Blasters is likely to be out of the team for third ODI match against Australia at Adelaide Oval on Sunday 12th February. Tendulkar had scored just 2 runs in nine balls in the first ODI match against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground and made 48 runs in 63 balls with 5 boundaries in the second ODI against Sri Lanka, which India have won by 4 wickets with 20 balls remaining.
Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has ruled out of the team in the second ODI with Sri Lanka, after aggressive batsmen Virender Sehwag return back into the team. Sehwag has made three tours for Australia and played 10 matches, where his best is no better than 37 runs 180 at an average of 18.00. Sehwag has been struggling to make big knocks, while Gambhir played seven matches with 230 runs with an average of 32.86 against Australia in Australia.
