Indian opening batsmen Virender Sehwag hints that he might move down the middle of batting order, once some of the senior batsmen retire.
Although, Sehwag started his career as a middle-order batsman, he even scored his first Test century there. He had take the teams opening duties as the middle order was packed with some big names like Sachin’s, Dravid’s and Laxman. Sehwag is the man who changed the entire scenario of Test batting at the top of the order. Even though he has the highest points of his career as a opener, Sehwag has maintained he would love to go back to the middle order. Sehwag thinks that he doesn’t always have to negotiate the moving new ball.
The Delhi lad will take on the captaincy duties in the absence of MS Dhoni, as he is serving a match ban for sloe over rate in Perth Test. However, Shewag needs to wait a bit long to move down the order. Shewag, who will be captaining the Indian team in Adelaide Test said about moving down the order, no not in this team because, as they have some very good middle order batsmen and so when they retire then he will be think about moving down the order.
Sehwag speaking at the press conference ahead of the Adelaide Test said Australia bowlers are seemed to best at the moment and even credited them. He insisted that it was probably the best Australia attack he had faced. Sehwag has had a poor run on the Australia tour, with just 128 runs from 6 innings.
India will be playing there last test match of the series against Australia at Adelaide on 23rd January.
