Former Skipper, Kumar Sangakkara after making superb century with 108 to put Sri Lanka in strong position in the second test against South Africa has hailed his team mates Thilan Samaraweera and Dinesh Chandimal.
Sangakkara has praised the middle order batsmen, Samaraweera and Chandimal for their superab efforts to the team and he said about Samaraweera that, Thilan was out of the side and had come back in for a very tough tour. To do what he did in that first innings for us was incredible. It was a make or break series for the guy.
While, the debut player, Dinesh Chandimal having played great knocks in the of 58 in the first innings 54 in the second inning.
Sangakkara while speaking about Chandimal has said that, Chandimal has shown that he is strong, both physically and mentally. He showed he was not overawed by the situation or the South African attack.
The former skipper also backed to bowlers and said that pacers will take some quick wickets to guide the team to first ever victory, since 2007 stating that, our pace attack has got to do a lot to take early wickets and get us breakthroughs with the new ball.
