Rohit Sharma has shown an out standing performance to guide India to victory in the first ODI against West Indies by scoring 72-runs. The right hand batsmen is hoping to play a Match-Winning knocks in the reaming 4-ODI’S.
India chasing 211-runs in first ODI against West Indies toppled down to 5-59 in first 11-overs. However, Sharma scoring 72-runs with the help of Jadeja-38 have build a strong 66-runs partnership to guide India to a Victory.
The right hand batsmen, Sharma while speaking with the sources has said that, I was little disappointed for not finishing the game. Winning the game is more important than scoring in a losing cause. I never want to do stuff like this again. Leaving 10 runs for the bowlers to finish the game is always difficult. I will make sure it does not happen again.
Sharma also stated that, it was not an easy situation to be in. They West Indies were bowling well. We wanted a partnership and when Ravindra Jadeja came in we just spoke about building small partnerships.
24-year-old played his maiden ODI in 2007 against Ireland. He has played 68 matches so far, scoring 1577 runs with the help of 2 centuries and 9 fifties. His batting average has been 32.18 and strike rate 77.03. His highest ODI innings till this day is 114. The guy is eagerly waiting for the Test cap.
Mean while, the second one-day, which is being held in Visakhapatnam at the movement, as West Indies have been toppled to232/9 in 46-overs, as Yadav took three crucial wickets.
