Andy Flower the England coach describes simplicity as the key of success of England team, after he was honored at the UK Coaching Awards 2011.

The former left-handed Zimbabwe batsman was honored with two awards of ‘UK Coach of the Year’ and ‘High Performance Coach of the Year’, after he led England to their first Ashes victory since 1986-87 winter at the beginning of this year. He also guided England to the top of the World Test rankings, after comprehensively dominating India with 4-0 whitewash in four-test series.

The former Zimbabwe wicket-keeper said that, the experience had taught him that there are no mysterious answers and simplicity is the best place to start. However, David Collier the England and Wales Cricket Board chief executive was happy praising Flower for his achievements. He said that, Flower has been an outstanding coach to the England cricket team and he is delighted over his dedication, knowledge and all-round leadership skills have been recognized in the sporting world.

David further added, the last 12 months have been momentous for England and it is not small part of Andy Flower’s self-drive and determination, to bring the best out of the players and ensured their performance and preparation. Apart from Andy, Malcolm Arnold the veteran athletics coach was awarded Lifetime Achievement, after guiding Dai Greene to win Gold in 400mts hurdles at the World Championships in Daegu. A special Lifetime Achievement award was also given to the late former pacer Graham Dilley, who died in October.
