After Sri Lanka players have been attacked in Pakistan by terrorist bomb attack on March, 3, 2009, all the International matches have been cancelled. However, Zaka Ashraf, Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) chairman has a huge confidence to host matches for foreign countries.
PCB is working hard to bring the foreign countries to visits their country to host the International cricket. However, the response has been negative with most of the countries are reluctant to visit Pakistan, due to security situation.
However, the new PCB chairman, Ashraf has claimed that Pakistan is all set to host foreign sides next year stating that, I am looking forward to seeing the revival of international cricket in Pakistan in 2012 and reveled to bring back international cricket to Pakistan remains one of his main priorities.
Moreover, Ashraf, who seems very adoring to see cricket return to Pakistan, expressed hope that India will accept their offer to play in their country, India till recently had reservations about touring Pakistan due to the conditions. But I would like to see the Indians respond in a positive manner to our offer.
Ashraf wants their players to play in their country, in order fabricate the best results and maintain teams strong performance at their home soil, it is good that our team is presently doing well and producing positive results, but it is equally important that they play at home in front of their people and supporters.
