Mumbai pace bowler, Ajit Agarkar, who has been dropped form the playing eleven against Orissa in Cuttack has disappointedly returned home without any notice.
Angry Agarkar, who was back in Mumbai, has been said that his place would be occupied by Avishkar Salvi in the playing eleven against Orissa; I don’t want to blow it out of proportion. If they had made this decision, they should have told me in Mumbai and not in Cuttack at 7 pm, a day before the match. At least I’ve earned that respect after playing so many years of top-level cricket.
Former Indian Pace bowler, Agarkar was out of cricket, due to injury and has joined the Mumbai Ranji team to play against Karnataka last week. However, the pacer has not taken any wicket, which may have resulted him to drop from the Mumbai team against Orissa.
India’s main bowler, Zaheer Khan has supported Agarkar in this issue stating that, Rege and Sulakshan Kulkarni are trying to pulling back the Mumbai cricket back and said that the Mumbai coach, could have handled the situation with better “communication” and that there was no need to “humiliate” Agarkar.
Meanwhile, disappointed Agarkar left the Mumbai Squad in Cuttack, even after Rege and Nitin Dalal, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) secretary forced him to stay with the team matches against Orissa.
