Daniel Vettori, a former New Zealand skipper has admire that Indian batsman Rahul Dravid is the best player of spin bowling in modern day cricket, and it is really hard to get him out of the ground.
Vettori is considered amongst the best spinners of current time, and since the last season the left-arm spinner has been bamboozling even the best of International batsmen with his variations in flight and a very successful arm-ball.
The former Kiwi skipper has now restricted himself to Test cricket only, as he retired from limited-over’s format of the game after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The world of cricket has seen a number of superior batsmen in the present age such as Inzamam ul Haq, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and many more have put their names in the record books.
However, Daniel thinks that it is Rahul, who has the most striking technique and puts a massive price on his wicket. While discussing about the stroke-players, Vettori did not pause in naming the former Australian player, Adam Gilchrist. The left-arm spinner admitted that it was really difficult for him to bowl to Gilchrist.
Daniel Vettori said that, Rahul Dravid is the best key player of spin that he had come across. He was always difficult to bowl to him and guys like Gilchrist, who can hit you out of the park at any time, it is not getting on your nerve but absolutely hard work.
Vettori further expressed that, the Australian left-arm spinner/legendary, Shane Warne is the greatest spin bowler to have played the game and the leggie had a massive bang on the game of cricket, since the last couple of decades.
