The team India will be unchanged for the forthcoming remaining three ODIs against England. The Indian selectors have picked the same squad that has won the first two ODIs in the ongoing Airtel ODI series.
The selection committee led by Kris Srikanth felt that, there is any necessary of changing the Indian squad, which has won comprehensively, in the first two ODIs of the ongoing series against England. Besides the announcement of ODI squad for the rest of the games, they also picked the 15-member squad for the lone Twenty20 International, which includes the likes of Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan, while Parthiv Patel and Gautam Gambhir have been left out.
Robin Uthappa came into the team, after he featured in his last international match against Sri Lanka for India, three years ago in Karachi. He played 38 ODIs and nine Twenty20 internationals for India. Robin gave impressive performances in the recent concluded NKP Salve Challenger Series in Nagpur, in which he scored 56 and 132 for India Green and that has helped him to get a callback from the selectors. Gautam Gambhir was left out, due to his marriage. The exit of Gambhir from T20 would possibly create an opportunity for Robin, to open the batting for India.
