Pakistan fast bowler, Mohammed Aamer has luckily escaped the further punishment of ICC, with a warning, for playing in a Surrey League game.
The 19-year-old left arm pacer of Pakistan, Aamer has walked off with just a warning letter, for disregarding his five-year long worldwide ban from cricket, who was accused of match fixing, during test series against England in England. However, ICC has not taken any further punishment, despite knowing that, he has clearly broken the terms of his ban by playing a match in League Division.
Colin Gibson, the ICC spokesperson said that, he was warned as to his future conduct and was reminded with the strongest terms of the conditions, related to his ban. Aamer was already on a warning of ICC, after he played a friendly match in Pakistan in January, while has was suspended provisionally.
The fast bowler has been banned for a minimum of five-years, along with his fellow team mates Mohammed Asif and Salman Butt in February by an ICC tribunal. They were banned from the game, after they have been accused of involving in a match fixing scandal, by bowling no-balls deliberately, during a test match in England last year. Aamer is also awaiting his trial at a London Crown Court over cheating and corruption charges in regard to one of the biggest scandals in cricket.
