"Sourav Ganguly Sachin Tendulkar" Sourav Ganguly inspires Sachin Tendulkar to score his elusive 100th international ton in the upcoming five-match One-Day series against England, scheduled to start on September 3, 2011.

Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian skipper, has backed his former India opening partner Sachin Tendulkar, as referring to master blaster dismissal for 91 runs, in the fourth Test over England, Ganguly was quoted as saying, His dismissal showed that cricket is a one-ball game. It does not matter how much you have your eye in, one good-ball can get you out.

The former Indian skipper is pretty confident that his century will come in the one-dayers. Let’s not forget Tendulkar is; only human after all, said Ganguly. In the England series another key performance by Tendulkar was monitored in the second innings of the second Test match, where he scored 56 runs off 86 balls, including four boundaries, and was out lbw by James Anderson.

The right-handed batsman, playing in the eight innings of the four-match Test series against England, scored 273 runs at an average of 34.12 and has been the fifth top run scorer of the series, which India lost 0-4 against England.

Sourav Ganguly, who along with Sachin formed the most successful ODI matches opening combination ever, remembered some of the best innings of the little master and persists that the maestro from Mumbai still has a few such bangs left in him.

The upcoming ODI series will also be a big defy for India team, as Andrew Strauss’ sqaud are firmed to make their spot in the 50-over format as well.
