VVS Laxman Praises Suresh Raina

The Indian middle order batsmen, VVS Laxman and Suresh Raina have saved the India by giving a huge fifth wicket partnership of 117.

India in their first innings was bowled out for 201 with Laxman hitting 85 and Raina struck a fighting 53 and in replay to that West Indies at the end of the day’s play three for 38 from 16 overs.

Rampaul was the pick of the West Indies bowlers with three for 38 from 16 overs, as the Indians were dismissed for 201 in their first innings about 40 minutes before the scheduled close on the first day.

VVA Laxman has praised Suresh Raina for his Brilliant performance and stated that, Raina has practiced a lot playing the short deliveries. He has played two important knocks. It was great to see the way he approached the innings and the Hyderbadi, who reached 8,000 Test runs during his innings has also reported that, batting under pressure always brings out his best.

The stylish batsmen missing an century on Tuesday has stated, he has not converted many of my 50s into 100s and having said that, the situation we were in before lunch, losing 4 wickets for 40-odd runs, we will be very happy the way we ended the innings and particularly because we took three wickets.
