Sachin Tendulkar of India has lost his top place to South African Batsman, Jacques Kallis on Friday, in ICC Test rankings.
The ace batsman of India, Sachin Tendulkar has lost his top spot to Kallis of South Africa. Kallis is the current No. 1 Test batsman in the world, as Sachin missed the first test against West Indies.
Sachin has also missed the entire tour of West Indies. As per the reports, a played would lose 1% of his rating points, for every test he misses. As per that, he will lose some more points, as he will not appear in the remaining two tests. Now, Sachin is in the second spot in ICC Test rankings.
Rahul Dravid, known as ‘The Wall’ of Indian cricket, has made his comeback to top-20. He was announced, as the Man of the Match for his gritty century, in the first test against West Indies, which placed him at 20th place.
This is the first time, Rahul Dravid has made to top-20, since November 2010, who was out of top-20, after the test against New Zealand at Nagpur. He spent seven hours at the crease, which credited India with a win by a margin of 63 runs.
The stylish batsman, VVS Laxman, is at 13th place, dropping by five places and Dhoni at 38th place, with two spots down. Suresh Raina moved up 26 places at 61st, after his much needed knock of 82 in the first innings against West Indies.
Ishant Sharma is at 11th place, embarking three spots, after he took 6 for 110 in the test at Jamaica. Dale Steyn of South Africa is still reining the top spot, among the bowlers, while Graeme Swann and James Anderson of England are trailing at second and third place respectively.
