The South African cricket player of the year 2011, Jacques Kallis believes that there could yet be a World Cup Winning for Gary Kirsten under his belt after being appointed as a coach of South Africa.
Kallis, the great all-rounder with record of 11,947 test runs, 270 wickets and 166 catches are unmatched in the history of the game. However, he admits yet another World Cup disappointment this year by South Africa leaves a stubborn cramp of lament.
The South African all rounder while speaking with the various sources has said that, he will probably manage to play for the next one year and is the body manages, he added that, he will continue to play until 2015. However, he said that, he will be sitting in the dressing room on more occasions, if he plays for four long years.
If anyone can successfully steer Kallis, South Africa’s most important player, through to the next World Cup then it will be Kirsten, whose astute management of Sachin Tendulkar was one of the key factors in their World Cup triumph, as well as their ascension to number one in the test rankings.
Kallis while speaking about Gary has said that, Gary will be going to take the South African cricket to great heights. Gary will provide a new environment, new ideas and new energy and stated that. When he spoke with some of the Indian players and they are all thoroughly complimentary about Gary’s time with them and finally stated that, there could yet be another World Cup in him before the great all-rounder finally calls time on his stellar career.
