Raina powered Chennai into the finals of IPL 4

Suresh Raina has delivered the goods at the right time when his team wanted him to perform as Chennai Super Kings reached the finals of Indian Premier League 4 2011.

RCB made 175/4 in 20 overs batting first and CSK chased it down by scoring 177/4 in 19.4 overs. The two young talents of India shines form each team, Virat Kholi scored 70* and Suresh Raina smashed unbeaten 73 with 6 sixes.

Chennai did not step into the game without any tag of hot favorite and did not they even seem to win in the initial stages of the games. Chennai lost their openers cheaply by scoring only seven runs, and then Raina walked into the crease and started the things of smoothly and then accelerated the innings. Raina has got good support from the other end with Dhoni and Albie Morkel, who finished the game in CSK favor.

The duo of left hander’s hit 3 sixes in 19th over where the equation changed against Bangalore. Albie Morkel finished off with 28 in 10 balls with 3 sixes and 1 four where he took challenge on against Vettori in the last over of the game hitting six to finish the game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore is the hot pick of the day not only to win this game but to lift the IPL trophy. Bangalore innings started in different manner as Gayle kept quiet for some time and was trapped early in front of the stumps. Gayle showed way this time with fine spell of bowling conceding only 19 runs in his spell of 4 overs.

Virat Kholi has been their star performer where he score 19 runs of Albie Morkel with 2 sixes and 1 four. Luke Pomersbach scored quick 29 of 18 balls and Mayank Agarwal made 34 in 33 balls with 5 fours. Their bowling attack lead by Vettori and Zaheer Kahn looked wavered.

Chennai Super Kings now advanced in to the finals of IPL 4 which is slated to play on 28th May.
