Delhi Daredevils Take on Resurgent Kolkata Knight Riders

Delhi and Kolkata both teams are looking to come out of the shell this makes contest very keen to look out for. The two very good mates of team India who played all along their careers will face each other for first time in IPL 4 2011. In the last three editions of Indian Premier League, Gambhir and Sehwag represented Delhi.

Delhi Daredevils will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the 33rd match of Indian Premier League 4 2011 at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi on April 28 at 20:00 GMT.

Delhi Daredevils have mixed tournament so far they pulled two wins in six games, they managed to win in the games when no one expected. Delhi team doesn’t look a well balanced side and they were in the bottom of points table.

Delhi opening pair Sehwag and Gambhir is in good touch expect them in the batting line-up looks so unsettled, Venugopal Rao and James Hopes were chipping in with some runs. The bowling unit is the area where Delhi were really concerned about, Morne Morkel was bowling tremendously but no other mate was not providing the support needed. The biggest question comes with their costliest pick Irfan Pathan; he is out of answers thrown to him.

Kolkata had an ideal start to IPL 4 with three wins in a row. They lost opening match to Chennai and defeated Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals back to back, there after lost two matches to Kochi and Bangalore. Kolkata has good quality attack to bounce back and win the games.

Kolkata has been posing huge totals from the starting of the season thanks to likes of Jacques Kallis, Gautam Gambhir, Manoj Tiwary and Yusuf Pathan. In the last match they lost to Bangalore due to one man show of Chris Gayle. Brett Lee was kept out for the last game and that didn’t do much favor. Kotla pitch has been pacer friendly pitch where Brett Lee is expected to return to team as he is hitting right spots with good speeds.

There will be very good battle of bats when Gambhir and Sehwag on the field, they know each other game plans and mindset very well. These two players had never played in the opposite sides before. The Baroda brothers Yusuf and Irfan playing for their respective teams all have to wait see the battle of Irfan with ball and Yusuf with his power hitting.
