The Kings XI Punjab on Thursday evening will clash with Rajasthan Royals in an Indian Premier League 2011 (IPL) encounter.
Punjab Kings XI led by Adam Gilchrist will look to further get their team stronger on the points table, as they lost its opening match of Indian Premier League to Pune Warriors.
Paul Valthaty has made the difference between winning and loosing for Kings XI Punjab. If his exploits of a century and another half century was not enough for his team. However, with all help of Valthaty, Punjab won its next two matches against Deccan Chargers and Chennai Super Kings.
Adam Gilchrist has not ablaze with the bat yet and he will look to get a good score in this match, as they are playing at home ground.
However, the Kings XI side will also have to settle on their overseas player combination. Along with Ryan McLaren, Adam Gilchrist and Ryan Harris should both make in this match. Since, Harris brings much bowling attack and McLaren’s all-round capability lends balance to the team.
On the other hand, we have Rajasthan Royals led by Shane Warne. They have won two matches against Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils and two defeats both against Kolkata Knight Riders. There last match was abandoned due to rains.
Royals will put their best match forward against Kings XI Punjab, as there is only one batsman Johan Botha from the Royals who is in the top fifteen scoring batsman in this season. There incapability of their batting orders to fire and will look forward at Shane Watson to fire as he did in the recent Bangladesh series.
It will be much interesting to watch, how these sides clash up against each other and who comes out as the winner.
