Deccan Chargers come off the slump finally in the IPL IV season. After losing their two opening games to KKR and Rajasthan Royals, Deccan Chargers have finally conquered RCB at home differed by 33 runs.
The credit goes to South African fast bowler who checked the runs as well as wickets as he carries 3-24 in just 4 over’s. For the impressive effort, he got awarded as player of the match.
After winning the toss, RCB chosen to field and for which they would have repented later as Chargers who took on the charge early made 176 as target giving almost 9 runs per over. But, after Punjab’s astonishing effort to overcome Chennai Super Kings recently by reaching 188 runs target easily; yesterday’s Charger’s target looked almost attainable.
In giving 176 as target, Sohal (38), Sangakkara (36) and Chipli 66 runs from just 35 deliveries paved the path very well adding on to 7 extras given by the opponents.
With an almost attainable target, RCB came into the crease but to lose four early wickets for just 29 runs in 7 over’s comprising opener’s Agarwal, Dilshan, Zaheer Khan and de Villiers. Except Kohli who scored 71 runs from 50 balls and Pujara who cherished the down order for some time with 25 runs from 15 deliveries, none from the RCB scored above 10.
Being high spirited with the first win in this IPL Campaign, Deccan Charger’s will soon clash with Punjab who dented the Chennai Super King’s winning rein with high spirited chase.
