Indian Premier League (IPL) has been part of International Cricket Calendar. It has been a huge success in the third edition of 2010 season where there are only eight teams.

IPL 2011 having two new teams namely Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Sahara Pune Warriors. The two teams Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab who looked to be out of IPL 4 was fined for illegal share holdings. The ten teams that are lined up for IPL 4 2011 are Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Deccan Chargers (DC), Delhi Daredevils (DD), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Sahara Pune Warriors, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

"Indian Premier League 4 Schedule"The captains of IPL 4 2011 of their respective teams are MS Dhoni- CSK, Sachin Tendulkar-MI, Daniel Vettori-RCB, Kumara Sangakkara-DC, Virender Sehwag-DD, Gautam Gambhir-KKR, Yuvraj Singh- Pune Warriors, Mahela Jayawardene-Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Shane Warne-RR and Adam Gilchrist-KXIP.

The most expensive players of IPL4 2011 are Gautam Gambhir with US $2.4 million KKR, Yusuf Pathan with US $ 2.1 million KKR, Robin Uthappa with US $ 2.1 million Pune, Rohit Sharma with US $ 2 million MI, Irfan Pathan with US $ 1.9 million DD. Yuvraj Singh with US $ 1.8 million Pune, Saurabh Tiwary with US $ 1.6 million RCB, Mahela Jayawardene with US $1.5 million Kochi, David Hussey with US $1.4 million KXIP, Dale Steyn with US $ 1.2 million DC, Muttiah Muralitharan with US $ 1.1 million Kochi, and players like AB de Villiers for RCB, Cameron White for DC, Jacques Kallis for KKR and Ross Taylor for RR were sold out for 1.1 million US $.

Each team will play fourteen games and teams that are in top four places will be qualified to qualifiers. Chennai Super Kings who were the last edition champions will host the finals of the IPL 4 2011 and the first will be hosted by Chennai. The top three teams will find a place to compete in Airtel Champions League where countries of Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, New Zealand and England domestic top T20 teams will be fighting.

The Indian Premier League 2011 season 4 is scheduled from April 8, 2011 to May 28, 2011. This is right after six days of finishing World Cup. The first match is between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at 8:00 IST on 8th April at Chennai.
