ICC World Cup 2011 has entered into the crucial eliminator stage of Knock out matches. The tournament have began with eight top teams and four associate teams.
After all the drama in the Group B, South Africa, India, West Indies and England have qualified for last eight. From Group A the four teams that are expected to reach the quarters are there without any real struggle. The teams from Group A are Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand.
There is a lot of tense in the group B matches, England lost matches to Bangladesh and Ireland and they need to win their last group match to qualify for next round. England won that match with a dramatic turnaround against West Indies. England qualified to knock out stages as Bangladesh lost their last match against Proteas, if they could pull a win over there they could have upset England quarters birth. In Group A, Pakistan have ended Australia’s World Cup winning streak.
The quarter finals is a knock out stages, as any team loses they have make their way back to home. It’s matter of just three winning matches and they would be World Champions. The team that tops group A will face last team of Group B. The second team will face third team of other group and vice versa. The team that stands last in group A will meet the top team in Group B.
