Indian former captain, Sourav Ganguly will be back in action playing for Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in Emirates Airline Twenty20 tournament in Dubai.
Sourav Ganguly has been ignored by all ten franchises in the auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) in the fourth edition in January 2011. Ganguly was named among the players in the MCC side which is scheduled from April 1. Sourav Ganguly has already captained MCC in the last June against Pakistan at Lord’s.
The Prince of Kolkata added that it is an honor to represent MCC and he delighted to play for the club in Emirates Airline Twenty20 tournament. He thoroughly enjoyed captaining the side in match against Pakistan and he is thrilled to get another opportunity to play for MCC. Ganguly is looking forward to continue his relationship with the club.
The Emirates Airline Twenty 20 tournament is an annual tournament played at Dubai; it has been very successful in the last edition. In this year edition, English county teams Sussex, Durham and Nottinghamshire will compete along with MCC. The MCC team is featuring with present players like Monty Panesar, Steve Harmison, Simon Jones and Chris Read.
Matthew Jackson said that, they were eagerly waiting to play with Sourav Ganguly in the line-up and surely the crowd will enjoy the presence of legend. The MCC team seems to be strong contender for the title with some top class international players. Ganguly fans will be happy as he is back in action for one more time.
