Australia has placed top in the ICC one day rankings. India grabbed the second place while Sri Lanka is at third position with same points. Followed up by South Africa and England have occupied fourth and fifth places respectively.
Bangladesh moves to eighth place in the ICC one day rankings ahead of World Cup. Bangladesh went to eighth position by pushing down West Indies to ninth position. This is the lowest rank ever that West Indies have placed in ODI rankings.
Bangladesh rise to the eighth position involves two back to back series wins. Recently, Bangladesh won against New Zealand in October and also won against Zimbabwe in December. Mean while West Indies disasters performance in recent series against Sri Lanka, where they lost the series of 2-0.
West Indies cricket is now facing a tough run in one-dayers. West Indies have not won a test series since 2008 August and they haven’t won ODI series from July 2009. West Indies and Bangladesh stays equal in the ratings with 66 points but Bangladesh placed eighth after calculating their ratings in decimal points.
