England World Cup Squad: England has announced their squad for upcoming World Cup 2001 which is scheduled from February 19 – April 2 held at the sub-continent nations.
England National Selector Geoff Miller and the members of the committee have revealed their World Cup team on 19th January, 2011. Matt Prior has been called instead of Steve Davies as his batting style is apt to subcontinent pitches.
Andrew Strauss will lead the team. Along with Steve Davies, Chris Tremlett has been omitted from the final 15 member squad. The injured bowlers, Graeme Swann and Chris Broad have also included in the team. Chris Broad is recovering well from abdominal injury he is expected to recovery fully by the time of world cup.
Kevin Pietersen, Eoin Morgan and Matt Prior can change the match senior in short time with their hard hitting and skilful batting skills. Paul Collingwood omission from current on going series against Australia has not affected his place in the squad. Andrew Strauss, Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell add more strength to batting line up. England bowling attack is well balanced with fast bowlers and spinners.
