India Squad: India Will Retain Full Strength for SA ODI’s

Indian team has been announced for South Africa ODI and T20 series, India has played last ODI matches with New Zealand with young blood. The Indian team is back to their full strength for South African T20 and ODI series.

This will be the last outing for the Indian team before World Cup which will start in February. The 16 member squad includes Piyush Chawla the leg spinner who has last appeared in the international arena in 2008. Ravindra Jadeja who is not impressive in the New Zealand series has been left off. Yusuf Pathan performed well in the series with New Zealand and confirmed his place in the team.

The team is having six specialist batsmen, MS Dhoni as wicket keeper-batsmen, Yusuf Pathan as all-rounder and the bowling department is with five quickies and three spinners. R Ashwin who has been performing consistently well found registered his place in the team where as Ishnat Sharama has left out.

The little master will also feature in this squad as it would be final series before World Cup as he was being held up for World Cup preparation.

Indian Squad: MS Dhoni (capt), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, R Ashwin, Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, S Sreesanth.
