New Zealand has been in an act of loosing the One Day International under the captainship of Daniel Vettori. The team has been trying hard for the better success. After the defeat of 5-0 to India, the Country’s Board is subjected to have a serious talk for the team build up mainly targeting the World Cup.
The failure of the team has been started from August, lasting December. Starting from the Dambulla played with Sri Lanka, the team has been facing defeats continuously including clean sweep of two series with Bangladesh and India recently.
Considering the recent events, the New Zealand Board has reportedly said that the position of Daniel Vettori is safe. Justin Vaughan, the Chief Executive has said that they need to review in a proper way and would like to take necessary steps to make the team improve. Meanwhile, Mark Greatbatch’s position as coach has been in the state of examination, and there have been news that, calls are being made to Jon Wright to replace him. But, Mark has said that he wanted to stay until the World Cup of 2011.
The next coming matches for the team include a home series against Pakistan, which are part of two Twenty20’s, a couple of tests and six one-day matches.
