Day 2 Final Score: England 260, Australia 220/5 (80.0 overs) and Australia trail by 40 runs with 5 wickets remaining in the 1st innings.

Australian batsmen, Michael Hussey helped his team with his fantastic performance and build a good partnership with Brad Haddin. Michael Hussey scored 81 runs in 144 balls and Brad Haddin scored 22 runs in 71 balls.

Australia started Day 2 with 25/0 and lost their valuable wickets after the dismissal of Shane Watson (36) at 76 runs. With in short time, Australia captain, Ricky Ponting (10) lost his wicket to Anderson at 96 runs. Just four runs later, Simon Katich (50) was dismissed by Swann at 100 runs. Michael Clarke (9) tried to build the good partnership with Hussey, but Australia lost their fourth wicket at 140 runs. Immediately, Marcus North (1) lost his wicket at 143 runs. Later, Hussey and Haddin did well and stop the flow of wickets.
