Master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar reclaims the number one rank in Tests after eight years. Sachin Tendulkar reached first rank after the fantastic performance in the recent Test series against Australia. In this series, he scored the highest 403 runs in total that helped India to win 2-0 Test series against Australia.
According to the latest ICC rankings, Sachin Tendulkar stayed at top position with 891 points followed by Sri Lankan Kumar, Sangakkara stayed at second place with 874 points and his teammate, Virender Sehwag stayed at third place with 819 points.
In bowling, India pacer, Zaheer Khan stayed at fourth position with England, J.M. Anderson. He got the 12 wickets in the two Test series against Australia. He has achieved his carrier best rank 4 with 744 points.
In last eight years, this is the first time Sachin Tendulkar has topped in the batting table. This is the ninth time he claimed the number one rank in his carrier.
