South African all-rounder, Justin Kemp has replaced the injured Sri Lanka seamer, Thilan Thushara in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team in the next upcoming Champions League Twenty20 tournament that starts on 10 September, 2010.
Both the players have played well in IPL 2010 season and help CSK to win the tournament, but Justin Kemp was initially not included in the CSK team for the Champions League. Thushara suffered a groin injury while tuning Sri Lanka in a tri-series match against South Africa last week, prompting Chennai to call up Kemp as a replacement. The CLT20 Technical Committee confirmed the change today.
Chennai war earlier caused to leave out injured Andrew Flintoff and Justin Kemp to join the team that increases the confidence. Chennai opens their campaign against Central Districts on September 11, 2010 at Kingsmead.
